The Intercept Brasil reported, based on the task force's private Telegram messages, that XP Investimentos organized a private meeting, 'with a confidentiality commitment', with Deltan Dallagnol at XP's office in São Paulo on June 13, 2018, for an audience of CEOs and treasurers of Brazilian and foreign banks, in the cycle 'Lava Jato and Elections'. Dallagnol asked XP to handle the engagement with the agency Star Palestras, which represents his paid lectures; the Intercept wrote that it was not clear whether the appearance was paid.

Limitations: The meeting took place in São Paulo, not in the U.S.; it enters here because of the alleged link to defendant banks in the Petrobras suit in the U.S. Vaza Jato messages described by the report, not examined; the task force responded that it 'does not recognize the messages that have been attributed to its members' (standard response, according to the Intercept). XP declined to confirm the event or payments; XP and Dallagnol did not confirm the participants. The agenda and the FUP speak of a 'consultancy hired by XP'; the Intercept describes the contact, Débora Santos, as a politics and Judiciary consultant/analyst of XP itself.

According to the messages reproduced by the Intercept, the XP representative sent Dallagnol, on May 17, 2018, a list of invited financial institutions (among them JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, Standard Chartered, Itaú and Bradesco) and wrote that 'not everyone attends'. The Intercept says that XP and Dallagnol did not confirm the participants, but that the list included banks that had already been investigated by Lava Jato.

Limitations: Invitees are not attendees: the report does not list who attended. The only attendance confirmed by the Intercept: Guilherme Donega, of Transparency International, brought by Dallagnol with XP's approval (confirmed by the organization itself).
