Moro and Bolsonaro: accusations of April 2020 × support in the 2022 runoff

The author broke with or allied with someone they had previously supported or accused.

What was said

What happened afterward

  • October 4, 2022. Moro declared on Twitter his support for Bolsonaro in the runoff, "against the PT's power project."

  • October 5, 2022. Bolsonaro said the differences had been overcome. source

How they explained it

In the sources consulted, as of October 24, 2026, we did not find a public explanation from Moro reconciling the 2022 support with the accusations of April 24, 2020 (the research did not include interviews after October 2022). The announcement itself justifies the support by opposition to Lula and the PT.

Note

This comparison overlaps with Moro: accusation of interference in the Federal Police (PF) (2020) × support for Bolsonaro in the runoff (2022) × justification (same statement and same 2022 support); kept because it has its own items. The 2020 accusation is Moro's and was denied by Bolsonaro; the comparison records only the change of alliance between the two, not the truth of the accusation.
